Liberty City Stories
Building on what San Andreas was, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories was released on October 25, 2005, and was a new and improved version of Liberty City as we saw it in Grand Theft Auot III. Including all things that made San Andreas so popular (such as swimming, climbing, dual firearms, waypoints, and all the rest) Liberty City Stores began a new chapter, taking place in 1998, this time centered around Mafia member Tony Cipriana, who was previously seen in Grand Theft Auto III.
Once a trusted wise guy in the Leone crime family, Toni Cipriani was forced into hiding after killing a made man as a favor for Don Salvatore Leone. Now he's back and it's time for things to be put right. The grateful don of the Leone crime family, puts you straignt back to work, cleaning up the streets of Liberty City, which are in turmoil. Warring mafiosi vie for control as the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking and union strikes.
Liberty City looks the same as it did in Grand Theft Auto III, except for the Porter tunnel, which had not been completed yet, as well as the Calahan bridge, which is accesible in the later stages of the game. The Liberty City Stories landscape is a familiar one for any Grand Theft Auto II player, dubbed "The worst city in America", this chaotic rendition of Liberty City is ready for you to take it over one more time.
