San Andreas

Grand Theft Auto: San AndreasGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas is truly, an "open-world" game, featuring not one, but three cities in the enormous fictional state of San Andreas. The game was first released in October 2004 for the PS2. It brought with it tons of twists, and surprises with it, such as new side missions, triple the amount of items to be found, a surprisingly long storyline, and many new things not possible in the previous games, such as the ability to ride bikes, and finally being able to swim in the water!

The game is this time set in late 1992, the plot focuses around gang member Carl "CJ" Johnson returning home from Liberty City to Los Santos after learning of his mother's murder. CJ finds his family and his old gang, the Grove Street Families, in disarray. Over the course of the game, CJ gradually unravels the plot behind his mother's murder while reestablishing his gang and exploring his own business ventures.

The gameplay is similar to the previous game, however, the camera, fighting, and targeting controls were reworked, making for a more comfotable gameplay. Another interesting and convienient feature is the introduction of waypoints which can be set on the HUD map to guide the player to a particular destination. To finnish it off, Rockstar even improved the game's artificial intelligence to make for a more realistic gameplay. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was just what gamers needed to top off the incredibly successful series of games.
